We have an issue to find out more about how NRR being calculated in CricStatz Software.
We have started Series 97, 2 matches are played, and cricStatz online showing below completion points
While, our team manual calculated as below
Our players claiming that as per Cricinfo below is the rule
https://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/page/429305.html "In the event of a team being all out in less than its full quota of overs, the calculation of its net run rate shall be based on the full quota of overs to which it would have been entitled and not on the number of overs in which the team was dismissed"
I'm sure many of you are aware about this, please let me know your thoughts about it. Does software have any option to calculate NRR as per cricinfo rule?
So I checked the matches and you have not set the max overs on the 2nd innings.
You need to do this so that the NRR can calculate correctly. Normally the max overs will be the allowed overs for each innings (in your case it is 20). However, if the match is shortened due to the weather then you can put the revised DL overs in there as well.
Also, please set the innings result to All Out.
Please do this and let me know how it goes.
Have you set the max overs field to 20 on the innings where they got all out before they reached the run target?

Hi Mark,
we have faced the same issue again by adding 4 more matches, we have set max overs 20 as well as put all out accordingly for those innings got all out.
NRR is not matching for first 2 teams, see below snapshots Series 97 matches
Our experts (according to ICC rules)
Cricket Statz NRR
Kindly advise, where we are lacking,
Also Experts saying international standard to keep NRR with 3 decimal points, but CricStatz sowing with 2 decimals.
Kindly help
Thanks for posting. I investigated and fixed an issue on our end with the sum of part overs calculating incorrectly - it was previously truncating the part overs so they were getting missed. I changed the overs displayed to be those that are actually being used for the calculation. I also increased the decimal places to 3. How does the report look now?
Thanks alot Mark, looks perfect.
