1/. I have only just noticed an extract function under setup.
I assume this is to allow users to create their own database backup as a safeguard. I have downloaded a backup file type .json
I don't have a program that seems to be able to open the file.
Can you please advise if the file can be opened and the primary reason for having this function? 2/. When we were using the old PC version of this program we were able to download a text version of a scorecard, that function does not seem to be available with the online version - any thought of making it possible? The text files were formatted so they could be sent to newspapers and the Cricket Archive and uploaded by whoever was operating that system in England without any changes. Our local newspaper can upload a match scorecard for printing from a text file with minimal changes required.
Thanks for posting.
See Q6 at our FAQ at https://www.cricketstatz.com/support-forum/questions/frequently-asked-questions. It is a copy of the database for your own records. You can open it in a text editor such as Notepad.
If you would like to see a text scorecard then please post it up as a suggestion in our https://www.cricketstatz.com/support-forum/suggestions section. If it gets enough votes then I will look to implement it.
