Trying to enter catches as historical data

Going into fielding.

Fill in required fields including date.The date I have entered is first playing date of that season. In this case 12 October 1996.

Wish to do all seasons catches in the one entry for each player.

I complete entry but when you go into the forms for Top catches in a season or Top catches by a fieldsman, date comes up as 9998/99
