How to upload a PDF to News/Info item

Hi All,

New to the system, I am trying to add a PDF as a link in the 'Edit Stats Site Item'... is there any suggestions on how i can achieve this?

I have tried to save the PDF as a HTML Web Page and upload it that way.. once i upload it and try and press 'More' it says the link is blocked..

Hi Will. The process for this changed recently. Can you let me know what is the content of the pdf and I can then give you the best way to proceed.

If yes, you have a couple of options.

You can either copy your rules and regulations as text and paste it into the "Body" field of the stats site item.

Alternatively, if you store your rules as a PDF in a cloud service such as onedrive or google cloud then you can post up the link to that file in the "URL Link" of the stats site item so that users can download it.

I recommend the "text" approach since PDF's aren't really mobile friendly.

I’d like to upload a pdf as the link ideally.. the PDF document would be like our newsletters , old club records, local rules etc

That link is exactly how we wanna try do it again if possible.

You can't "upload a pdf" I'm afraid but you can still achieve what you want to do.

You need to store your PDF on a cloud service such as Onedrive or Google Drive and then use the public link to that file. Paste that link in the "URL link" section.

(But as I mentioned before - PDF's are really bad for mobile users - and more than 70% of your users are likely to be mobile - you would be better off pasting the text in there)
