Hi Mark
Is there way for me, or if not can you please, to search for a player name by PayHQ ID. I am trying to create a new player but it says it already exists in my One Day database. I search for the surname Keller, but no such name exists. I can only presume I have assigned a PlayHQ number to the wrong person. The ID is 23e56abb-f647-4647-b986-82ac00585817
Cheers Pat
Hi Pat,
I have just added a couple of things to help you.
I have added a bit more info to the error message
I have allowed you to search for PlayHQID (but I don't think that will help)
I can see you have a Paul Keller there already.
Update - I have also split officials and players so that they are now two completely different records
And just to add - the Paul Keller is listed in your officials section
Thanks Mark, that kind of answers the question as Keller scored a game last year. However when I search he does not come up as it is a search of players (and not officials). Am I doing something wrong? or is this an oversight?
Since he is not a player then he doesn't come up in the player list search.
But, really, the issue is that when you add a new player then it shouldn't check against the "officials" list of names either.
I have kind of blurred the players and officials a bit - I might set up a project to separate them. It is a bit of work and not a trivial thing, but it is worth doing.
The short term solution for you is - if the Keller official is not the same as the Keller player then just change his first name a bit (maybe just list his initial). If they are the same person then set his club to be that of the club that you are importing and it will work.
